DOMO® achieved the highest possible recognition for hockey pitches The hockey federation has strict rules for pitches and equipment. Each pitch must be approved by the FIH. There are two categories: “National Classification” for practice pitches and national competitions and “Global Classification” for international tournaments and FIH tournaments. DOMO®  Sports Grass has been awarded FIH Global Certification for the quality of its DOMOLYMPICS water-based pitches. This certificate is only awarded to hockey pitches that are suitable for international and Olympic tournaments.

Artificial pitches in hockey

Hockey and artificial turf have been inextricably linked since the Montreal Olympics in 1976. The hockey world quickly recognised the enormous benefits of artificial turf and tested them on a large scale. Artificial hockey pitches can generally be split into 2 main categories.
