DOMO® releases fourth generation artificial sports turf

DOMO® has released a fourth-generation artificial turf that has all the advantages of its predecessors and scores even higher in the wear and resilience tests. It is an unfilled turf football pitch with a new profiled yarn - DOMO®  Champion Ascari. The absence of rubber infill makes installation, maintenance and recycling easier. Champion Ascari ushers in a new generation of artificial turf fields. This turf gives the footballer a peerlessly natural feeling and makes technically high-quality football possible in all weather conditions.

NRS (Natural Resilience System), an exclusively developed turf yarn, ensures that Champion Ascari has a very natural look. The profile of the yarn is inspired by natural blades of turf: a veined structure with a thicker vein in the middle. The wider range in the shades of green of the fibres also gives theChampion Ascari a peerlessly natural quality.

Thanks to the Natural Resilience System, the ball rolls as if on natural turf. The turf yarn stands up perfectly straight without filling due to its specific profiling and the close construction of the turf surface. This allows for a 'natural' trapping technique. The ball is carried by the fibres, allowing the foot to easily 'get under the ball' to make a long pass or trap a high ball. The turf yarn also springs back perfectly after each time it is pressed down. In addition, and in contrast to natural turf, the playing properties remain constant throughout the year. After all, on a natural turf pitch the ball rolls less far in the summer than in the winter, which players do not always find easy to anticipate.

The absence of rubber infill means the pitch heats up much less. The specific profiling of the turf yarn also retains moisture better, allowing the field to cool naturally. A Champion Ascari pitch possesses outstanding wear resistance. The Lisport test has shown that even after 12000 cycles - equivalent to 8 years of normal football play - there is still no splitting of the turf fibres. This is an outstanding score.
